Copaint x Weddings

Copaint Origins.

It was a warm summer in France. We had been driving to the north of France, to the beautiful beaches 🏖️ of Dunkirk, and we were so excited to see our friends getting married🥳🥳! And so many of our old friends would be there too - more than 400! 

When our friends had announced their wedding, they had told us that they did not yet have a plan to entertain so many people during the cocktail hour, as they would themselves be busy capturing beautiful pictures with each group of guests.

Fortunately, we love painting🎨 and DIY, we had an idea 💡, and they were 💯 down to try it! During one of our parties with friends in Provence, we had previously tried to create a collaborative canvas, but our idea wasn't ready yet, and we didn't have enough time to finish it...

This time, we were prepared! We had done all the calculations, imagined the right design🖼️ that would surely look good, and all the squares and the canvas were ready! It would definitely be fun for everyone, and look beautiful for the new couple! ♥️👀

But there was one point we were not sure about🤔 : as more than 400 people were expected at the wedding, we had planned for 88 squares to paint🤯! Will there be enough enthusiasm to paint so many, just in the couple of hours of the cocktail? 🫣

As we arrived, greeted our friends, and started installing the Copaint station, we hadn't finished setting everything up that a couple of people stopped by, and excited about the idea of producing a beautiful collaborative gift to the young couple, grasped brushes and started painting🖌️!

After a quick announcement at the cocktail party, people were rushing to the canvas to be able to paint their own squares. It created excitement, fun and a nice project around which to reconnect with old friends as well as to make new friends 🥰

The happily married couple has since then been keeping it up in their living room, as a memory of one of their most beautiful days in their lives ❤️🖼️🥰
